Do you love kebabs? Enjoy waiting in line with people sicking up on you? Do you enjoy creating breakwaters to keep the bubbling chicken grease from your rice?
If the answer is YES to any of these... Don't bother reading on..
Prepare yourself for one of the best and most established takeaways this side of Leeds. With a firm standard of hygiene and friendly staff this place is a must.
I have to confess I've eaten here on and off for years, so maybe my palette has adjusted to their delicious sweet sauces or particular way of cooking chicken, but regardless it has become the Chinese takeaway mark of excellence for me. The flavours are simple, but very tasty.
There are however a couple of slight drawbacks
Firstly... There is no delivery. This is a bind for a takeaway as one of the prerequisites can sometimes be how you can get a hold of one after having a couple of beers. However the silver lining of that cloud is that they cater more for families and don't use the same cheap methods you will find at your usual student places. Which leads me to...
The prices, they are usually £1 more expensive for the same meal 'down the road'. However it must be said that the quality here is a world away from the average, which more than makes up for the increase.
All in all an absolute must if you're in the area with a table to eat at, and a few bellies to fill. -

Supercook is the only place in Horsforth offering you Cantonese cuisine, and does a pretty solid job of it to be honest.
They do the standard Chinese fare well enough but it is the Cantonese dishes that impress the most - not least the beef Cantonese style (what do they put into that sauce?!). Though I am a casual fan of Supercook - if you live in Horsforth it's definitely worth putting in an order - there are better Chinese/Cantonese establishments that will deliver from further afield (try Sakura in Headingley).
In terms of the restaurant, I've never had the personal inclination to have a meal here, simply because of how dark and dingy it looks from the outside, but I could be judging a book by its dark and dingy cover, and could be missing out on something special. Doubt it though. -

Love this place & would recommend to anyone! I must admit I have been a customer for years (I used to live in the area) ...even though I moved away 3 years ago, I still make a special trip when I fancy a chinese (I prefer it to my local takeaway). Food is very good and very fresh tasting - if you like it hot try the king prawn ching mai - it's the dog's! :)
